FOREST HILLS ADVANCED CHESS CLASSES

The class is designed for players aged 5 to 15 years with a USCF rating of 1000-1500. This program is tailored to help participants deepen their understanding of advanced strategies, sharpen their tactical skills, and develop a stronger positional sense. Players will engage in challenging lessons covering opening theory, endgame techniques, advanced tactics, and critical thinking through analysis of classic games.

 

Participants will also participate in practice games, analysis sessions, review their games, receive personalized feedback to fine-tune their performance, and learn how to refine their decision-making under pressure. Ideal for motivated players looking to elevate their chess skills to the next level and compete at higher levels.

Cycle 1 Session Dates:

  • October 10, 17, 24, 31

  • November 14, 21

  • December 5, 12, 19

  • January 2, 9, 16, 23, 30

No Chess Days:

  • November 7 - Half Day

  • November 28 - Thanksgiving

  • December 26 - Winter Break

Price and Schedule:

  • Regular Program - 3:30-5:00 PM

    • $420/full program (14 sessions)

    • $35/drop-in​
